X Snaps Losing Streak to Finish Out Regular Season

The Xavier Musketeers got back on the winning side of the ledger on Saturday afternoon, knocking off DePaul in Chicago, 79-65, thus ending the Musketeers' losing streak of six straight games, their longest in over 35 years. The win spoiled the final game for the Blue Demons in their home of Allstate Arena as they are moving into a new arena closer to campus starting next season. The Muskies improved their record to 19-12 overall and finished an even .500 in the Big East at 9-9. Trevon Bluiett led the way for XU with a double-double effort, finishing with 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Malcolm Bernard added a career high 13 points, tying his total from each of the last three games. X. Next up for the Musketeers is the first round of the Big East Tournament, starting with the opening round on Wednesday in New York City. X faces a rematch of DePaul in the No. 7/10 seed games. Game time is set for 9:30 pm at Madison Square Garden.
