Bluiett and the Muskies Surge Past Morehead State
By Musketeer Madness, 11/10/2017

All-American Senior Trevon Bluiett quickly quieted concerns about his preseason shoulder injury by leading all scorers by exploding with 25 points as the Musketeers rolled, 101-49, over Morehead State on opening night at Cintas Center. Xavier jumped out of the gate on an 18-1 run and never looked back. Bluiett displayed his shooting prowess by drilling 9-of-12 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. As a team, Xavier shot the ball at a 67.9% clip. J.P. Macura (18 points), Kaiser Gates (14 points), freshman Naji Marshall (12 points) and Tyrique Jones (11) rounded out the five players in double-figures scoring for the Musketeers.

Next up for the Musketeers is Rider who Xavier hosts on Monday, November 13 at Cintas Center. Game time is set for 8:30 pm.
