No. 1 Seed Xavier Dominates St. John's in BIG EAST Tourney Quarterfinals

Having won the BIG EAST regular season, the No. 1 seed Xavier Musketeers continued its winning ways into the postseason, knocking off No. 9 seed St. John's in decisive fashion, 88-60, in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinal matchup on Thursday afternoon at Madison Square Garden. XU senior Trevon Bluiett, a first team All-BIG EAST selection, scored a game-high 27 points to the lead the X-Men. The Muskies pulled away in the second half, outscoring St. Johns by 24 points on 63% shooting from the field for half. With the win, Xavier advances to the BIG EAST Semifinals on Friday against No. 5 seed Providence. Game time is set for 6:30 pm.
