X Knocked Off by Providence on the Road
By Musketeer Madness, 3/4/2020

Naji Marshall led all scorers with a game-high 25 points but it was not enough as the Xavier Musketeers fell to Providence, 80-74, on Wednesday night at Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Marshall was the offensive ignition that fueled a second half comeback for X, which trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half.
Marshall was joined in double-figures scoring by Zach Freemantle and KyKy Tandy who notched 13 and 11 points, respectively. With the loss, Xavier drops to 19-11 overall and 8-9 in the BIG EAST. The Musketeers are back on the hardwood on Saturday for their final game of the regular season as they place host to Butler for Senior Day. Game time is set 8:30 p.m. at Cintas Center.
