The Xavier Musketeers finished up the Old Spice Tournament on Sunday afternoon with a 69-64 loss to Baylor in Orlando. Xavier, which drops to 4-2 on the season, struggled with its shooting as the team lost its second game of the three-game holiday tournament to finish in sixth place out of eight teams. Junior Jamel McLean scored a team-high 17 points and pulled down five boards for the X-Men in the loss. Baylor, meanwhile, finishes fifth in the tournament and improves its overall record to 6-1.

The Muskies struggled from the field as well as from the free throw line. The team shot just 37.7 percent from the field (23-of-61) and 52.4 percent from the line (11-of-21). The team was also out-rebounded by the larger Baylor squad, 42-34.

Beyond McLean's career-high 17 points, he also added five rebounds in 26 minutes of action. Jordan Crawford chipped in 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Speedy guard Mark Lyons to contribute eight points and five assists.

Xavier will look to regroup on Friday, December 4 as it returns to the friendly confines of Cintas Center to play host to Kent State. The game is scheduled to commence at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live by Fox Sports Ohio.
