X Falls in OT in A-10 Semifinals to Spiders
By Jay Skeldon, 3/13/2010

The Musketeers' quest towards an Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship was halted on Saturday afternoon by Richmond. The two teams, which battled to a double overtime Muskie win just two weeks earlier at Cintas Center, once again engaged in a hard fought, grind-it-out battle. In the end, the Spiders came out on top, 89-85, in overtime, as they advance to the finals of the A-10 Tournament on Sunday against No. 1 seed Temple. No. 24 Xavier (24-8) is a virtual lock for the NCAA Tournament as an at large candidate. The team awaits its draw as the brackets are unveiled at 6 p.m. on Sunday evening.

Xavier was led by Jordan Crawford, who scored 20 points and snagged eight rebounds. Guard Terrell Holloway added 16 points and two assists.

Richmond was led by A-10 Conference Player of the Year, Kevin Anderson, who scored 27 points. David Gonzavez threw in 26 as the Spiders improve to 26-7.
