X-Men Take Care of Business Against Eastern Washington

Five players scored in double figures for the Musketeers as Xavier came out on top, 85-56, over Eastern Washington in its final tuneup before BIG EAST play is set to begin next week. Junior Trevon Bluiett led the way with 16 points and Edmond Sumner notched 14. Kaiser Gates broke through with a big shooting night, finishing with four three pointers for 12 points. J.P. Macura and Malcolm Bernard rounded out the double figure scorers with 12 and 10, respectively. Xavier inproves to 10-2 on the year while EWU drops to 8-4. After a brief Christmas break, the Muskies return to action on Wednesday as they play host to Providence in the BE Opener. Game time is set for 7:00pm.
