Xavier Picks Up First Big East Win at Marquette

The No. 6 Xavier Musketeers were led by a balanced attack of five players in double figures scoring as they eclipsed Marquette, 91-87, on Wednesday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Trevon Bluiett led all Muskies with 23 points as Xavier notched another quality road win and its first in the 2017-18 Big East conference season. Other double-digit scorers for Xavier included J.P. Macura (15), Tyrique Jones (12), Naji Marshall (11), and Quentin Goodin (10). With the win, XU has now won eight consecutive games and moves to 13-1 on the season while Marquette drops to 9-4.

The Musketeers play their second Big East matchup on Saturday, December 30 as it plays host to the DePaul Blue Demons. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. at Cintas Center.
