Xavier returned to the winning side of the ledger, knocking off Western Carolina, 74-61, on Wednesday night before 9,907 fans at Cintas Center in the second game of the Skip Prosser Classic. The Musketeers were led by Quentin Goodin who scored a career-high 25 points on 9-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from behind the arc. Goodin filled the scoring void as Xavier's leading scorer, Naji Marshall, was unable to play due to illness. Jason Carter also added a career best in scoring as a Musketeer, finishing with 16 points on 7-of-9 from the field. He also reeled in nine rebounds in the winning effort. Musketeer freshman forward, Zach Freemantle also was a key contributor as he notched 13 points in the winning effort. With the win, Xavier (10-2), hits the double-digit mark in wins and looks to record its first true road win on Saturday against TCU. Game time is slated for 5:00 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas.
