Musketeers Knocked Off on the Road at Providence

The Xavier Musketeers fell short on the road to Providence, 83-68, on Wednesday night. Xavier (12-5, 5-5 BIG EAST) has now lost three of its last four games and head into a critical final stretch of three games to finish out the regular season starting with this Saturday against Creighton. The Musketeers were led by Zach Freemantle and Paul Scruggs who scored 24 and 22, respectively. Providence had players in double-digits scoring including Noah Horchler who scored a team-high 20 point. The Friars advance their record to 12-11 (8-9 BE) with the win.

Next up for Xavier is second place Creighton which it hosts on Saturday at Cintas Center. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. and will be televised live on Fox.
