Fathers James Hoff and Michael Graham, AD Mike Bobinski, and Head Coaches Staak, Gillen, Prosser, Matta, and Miller represent a Golden Era of Xavier Men's Basketball. I feel that new AD Christopher and Coach Mack will bring us to an even higher level!

Thanks...kid must be pretty good.
Sounds like Izzo might already have his hooks in him (recruiting him since the 7th grade - crazy) with BU and PU in hot pursuit as well.

40 points for Xavier commit Jared Ridder tonight as Kickapoo beats Springfield Central.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Apparently the NCAA is considering a rule that colleges may NOT make an offer to an athlete until the end of their junior year.

The NCAA is out of touch with college basketball. They keep making and tweaking rules. I could see them saying you can't offer until they have completed 10th grade, but many kids in the 11th grade are already searching schools, applying for scholarships, doing visits and making school choices. If all students can do this, why can't student athletes? Is there a rule that a school can't offer academic scholarships until after a kid has completed 11th grade?

Mack should chase after Moses Brown 7'1 Junior from Archbishop Molloy HS in Queens NY. Looks like Lew Alcindor from the 60's.

Doesn't hurt to offer. Seton Hall and St Johns did. Worst you can hear is 'no'. Can't get a commit you don't go after. If the kid is good make an offer, but make sure he has a shot outside 1 foot, can move his feet, can rebound and/or block shots. We should attempt to recruit with the 'big boys' if we want to become one of them. Can't bow out because Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, etc are after someone. Ya never know.

no like you offer and then wait for a call. Time, money on coach's visits all must be done before and after an offer and there is only so much time money etc.
