and Holtmann has done more at Butler than Crean did at IU.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Not sure that would be a great fit with Butler being so close to Bloomington. Indy full of a mixture of IU and Butler fans (and a few of us X fans). Not sure IU would want to antagonize the Indy area???

Marshall would likely get a pay cut at IU. He makes big money at WS.

If I had to guess, I believe Archie would move for the IU job more likely than would Mack.

I'd say that is even money at best. Mack has recruited better in Indiana than the Arch. Point Mack.

Steve Alford.
I read somewhere that he is lobbying for the job.
His kid is a senior this year at UCLA.
He is a hometown hero.
And he wouldn't have to deal anymore with Ball's lunatic dad.

IU is one of the handful of Power Conference schools where basketball rules over football
But the there is still a long shadow of Knight that looms over the IU job...but no different than the UCLA job and Wooden.

And C. Martin just took the Mizzou job...jumping from Cal.
There was speculation that Crean would end up there.

I think Mack took a fairly hard look at the Cal job a few years ago but decided to stay put.

If Alford went to IU, the UCLA job would be open for Ball's dad. Since he could take Jordan, he surely could out coach anyone else and with his sons being the future of UCLA (not to mention shoe sales), how could they pass him up?

Yep...I think that's the plan. ;)
Oh..on second thought, Ball's dad would be accountable if he was the coach.
Scratch that idea...much easier to sit on the sidelines and pontificate...kind of like all of us...me included.
