I think IU is a top 10 bball job. If I was in the position to hire, I'd go with Greg Marshall. He was wildly successful relatively speaking at Winthorp, and has also elevated WSU's program to high major status, and helped them build an identity to a team expected to at least advance to the SW16 every year, w/o elite recruits. He's widely regarded as one of the best coaches. Imagine what he could do at IU with the talent in the area, limitless resources, and basketball legacy?

I'd run as far away from Alford as possible, though I believe he'll be given serious consideration as well. I think Miller, Holtman, and Chris Collins will be in the next tier of coaches sought.

Actually his current buyout is $7.8 million if terminated by coach prior to April 30, 2017- see link below.
It drops to $5.2 million if prior to April 30, 2018.
Still a chunk of change but if IU wants him, I'm sure boosters will help chip in some $$'s.
