I guess he felt the pressure to come home and save the alma mater .Good for the league if Gtown stays relevant.Just not sure how good a coach he'll be . 2 dream teamers now coaching in the BE.

On of the guys on the radio today made the comparison between GTown and DePaul, and said that GTown was in real danger of becoming another DePaul. Pointed out that like DePaul a legendary coach was followed by his skn, who had some success but could never match what his did had done. In addition the schools are both located in a very nice section of a major metro area, but because of their locations have never able to build an on campus arena. He said that many schools had inflated opinions of where their BB program fit into the real world, and that GTown was probably guilty of this same thing. The guy talking lives in the D.C. Area and has been following GTown closely for about 30 years, so this wasn't some outsider commenting. I found the comparison accurate and eye opening.

Heard an nterview with Ewing about a month ago and they talked mostly of his coaching. At that time he was leaning toward waiting for an NBA head job. Indications are he has worked very hard at learning the coaching trade. He might surprise. Seems like a genuinely nice person.
