I hope Harden stays! The guy has some talent and was just stuck behind some really good seniors. I'm sure we will see a jump in the quality of his play this year.

I am always surprised when people don't seem to be concerned when a little used underclassmen decides to leave. Remember BJ Raymond, James Farr, Jason Love, and Larry Sykes of the past they developed into great players after starts that weren't that inspiring. That's what I love about college basketball seeing the guys develop and improve each year.
Theses are examples of players who decided to stay. I can’t think of anyone who decided to leave and was a real contributor at the next college Maybe Makinde London? Remember Churchill Odia.
Jay Canty and Brandon Randolph had decent careers at their next school. Apparently Adrian Graves is a Harlem Globetrotter

Get serious. Jay Canty went to Appalachian State. Sat out a while for academics. One year averaged 12 and as far as I can tell did not play what should have been his senior year.
Brandon Randolph went to Utah Valley and averaged 10points per game. Not sure we really missed either of these players.

Harden transferred to Xavier this year. He's hoping to hit the court.

One thing we never know is which players are encouraged to leave because it is unlikely they will receive increased playing time. Not saying this is true of Harden but I am sure it is true of some transfers.

Looks like Coach and Harry are having brain farts
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

mm are you saying that no transfers away from X were encouraged to leave? I would say we have gained a lot more by transfers than we have lost.
By the way, what do you think of CM now. I thought he would be a great coach for X for many years. My mistake. Leaving for $ and Louisville??? I suspect it will take a while for us to rebuild. Since I am from the class of ‘58 I may not be around for a Final Four. I hoped for it last year but but feel CM shifting his allegiance to U of L had a lot to do with our failure.

That's a joke, aka he was kind of m.i.a last year. Maybe he can start like new this year. You guys are scaring me.

Harden showed nothing last year. There had to be some reason he was given essentially no playing time. If he wants to leave so be it. Perhaps he was encouraged to leave ??? Let’s see where he ends up. The big surprise was Kaiser G leaving for the draft. Do we know if he has had any tryouts?
Who was he taking playing time away from last year?I think it was just a matter of experienced players ahead of him.Let's not judge a guy by his freshman year.Remember Jason Love?BJ Raymond?

Harden looks like he can ball. He was simply behind too many very talented and experienced players. I expect he will get plenty of minutes this year assuming he sticks around. I have no idea why anyone thinks he would consider leaving. A ton of minutes opened up.
