6 Game Losing Streak - 3 pt shooting & TO's

Postby mumuskie87 » Sun Feb 10, 2019 3:48 pm

X's 3 point shooting over the past 6 games has actually been not too bad.
They have gone 44-120 or 36.7% which is about 4 percentage pts better than their season average.
Their opponents have shot 54-134 or 40.3%. On the same number of attempts, X would have made 49 or about 1 less 3 per game.
Welage is 5-12 for 42%
Goodin is 11-27 (including banks) for 41%
Scruggs is 12-29 for 41%
And Marshall is 9-26 for 35%.

However, they have a total of 87 TO's over this 6 game stretch compared to 58 for their opponents.
29 more TO's or about 5 more per game.
X is not a great shooting team so when you have 5 more empty possessions a game, it's hard to overcome that.
In the 2 games they won against Butler and Gtown, they had a total of 14 TO's or half of what they averaged these past 6 games. Gtown and Butler combined for 18 TO's total for those 2 games.

In every conference game that they have lost, X has had more TO's.
Only 7 of the games this year has X had a lower TO total.
Of those games, the only one they lost was against San Diego St.

I suggest they lose all the games left...finish dead last in the top 5 Conferences...and thus get the first pick in the first round draft choice for next year!!!????!!!! oops someone said that does not work. Well they are playing like that is what they get by losing and losing.
