I agree on the defense comment.
Here are Little Mick's KenPom defensive rankings since at UC
2019 - 30th
2018 - 2nd
2017 - 15th
2016 - 16th
2015 - 17th
2014 - 9th
2013 - 15th
2012 - 22nd
2011 - 13th
2010 - 44th
2009 - 108th
2008 - 70th
2007 - 121st

Plays in a mid major that has a handful of tough games a year and an easy OOC schedule.
Gets into the tournament with tougher competition and they fold like a cheap tent.
Making adjustments are what great coaches do.
Little Mick is not in that category

Little Mick is not in that category
1. Mick is better at his job than you are at yours. Hence the difference in compensation.

2. The AAC is a better league than the Big East.

3. UC's non-conference consisted of Ohio State, Ole Miss (neutral), @UNLV, Xavier, @Mississippi State, UCLA.

Also had George Mason and NKU. Seems pretty competitive to me.

4. How tall is Travis Steele?

5. Mick took 3/4 star players Caupain, Evans, Clark and helped turn them into NBA players.

Mick is a very good coach who does a great job of developing players. Like all coaches, he has his flaws. But to sh*t on a guy who has been to the NCAA tourney 9 times in a row is ridiculous.

Sweet 67 maybe you should go to your board instead of wondering what X is doing. But since you came here success depends on how you measure it. if you measure success by winning the AAC, then Mick has done a great job. Mick does well against team he knows which is why they fall (even when favored) in the tourney. UC as a team has been to one S-16 in last 23 years however they have won whichever conference they are in (tourney or regular season) many times. Most recently, they have been favored in tourney in their last three losses-2 of which they were ahead at the half. In last 20 years, X is 14-6 against UC, have been to the E-8 3x and S-16 5x. UC-one sweet 16. You can brag on Mick all you want but I can tell you that many on the UC fanbase are tired of the UC=Bengals playoff type draught. Good luck to UC next year but don't see them getting past first weekend again. However, I do see them top 3 in AAC.

This first sentence is a bit....
ironic....
stupid....

since someone on an XU fan board waited 3 mins to post that uc is out of the tourney...
and then you commented on that post
then you tell a uc fan not to defend Mick on an XU fan board!

no fan of st. mick
no fan of uc
just sayin'

lets agree to disagree as your posts are pretty much always lacking of intelligence. Stand by mine however.

Ah I’m glad our favorite troll is back. I’m glad you consider 1 sweet 16 on 13 years “very good.” It shows you’ve accepted UC’s role as a mediocre mid major team who chokes every year in the tourney and is now the permanent little brother in this city. Also, don’t forget:

1. At least 7 xavier players during micks tenure have more tourney wins in 4 years than mick has in 13. Lol mick.

2. The big east in a down year was 4th in the NET rankings and the American was 6th. Last year in a good big east year the big east was 2nd in rpi and the American was 7th (not sure if NET conference rankings were out yet in 17-18.)

Enjoy you’re “very good coach.” I know everyone in xavier country hopes he gets a life time contract.

Seriously, are you?

It would be weird if you took someone else's real name as a handle if you weren't them.

UC has been to more than one S16 in 23 years

XU has never participate in a Final Four. So they are far from the authority on post season hoops.

I dont anticipate X making it past the first weekend of the Dance next year either (should they qualify), but I do anticipate they will improve on their 16 loss campaign.
