Re: Seton Hall vs X Game thread
Size is affecting X on both ends of the court. They are letting the big guys for Seton Hall to bully our guys and with 7'2" and 6'11" it was amazing how well X rebounded at the beginning but after Carter was lost to injury the Pirates just dominated. Wearing X out
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I meant to type Jones, Kunkel, and Tandy. Steele never called a TO and preceded to go with four guards against the biggest team in the league. Unless we hit threes are offense is awful. Carter played great. They are too big and tough for us. Steele looks lost

Re: Seton Hall vs X Game thread
This is a pathetic showing by X to close the half. Letting them drive to the rim every play is beyond horrible. Not boxing out is a lack of effort. I don't care how much bigger a guy is, he cannot stop you from moving him backwards when you get position. He might be able to reach over but if you move him back a few feet, you have room to get the rebound.
Some stupid passes as well.
Offense became questionable after guard substitution started. Steele needs to find the right chemistry and the bench needs to be ready to play.
Carter certainly seems to be the glue on defense but he was also doing most of the scoring so maybe the scoring drought also lead to a lack of defensive effort as frustration set in.

Steele not a great in game coach otherwise he would have called a TO and not gone with terrible defensive lineups. Jones is a freshman but all his hype is overrated at this point. Johnson can’t have two bad games in a row if we want to make tourney.

Kunkel cannot let his man drive all the way to the rim.

X barely won 4 of their 8 wins against average competition. Now they are playing in the BE with the big boys...not going very well.

Not a whole lot of good things to take from this. Too bad Freemantle took out Carter because maybe SH would not have gone on as big a run. Time to regroup and work on some things

Re: Seton Hall vs X Game thread
That had nothing to do with it. Willard and a more physical team handed it to X. Our defense was terrible. Why was Stanley sitting so long?
