Musketeers Fall on the Road to the Johnnies

The Xavier Musketeers dropped their second straight game on Tuesday night, falling 93-84 to St. John's at Carneseca Arena in Queens, New York. Xavier was led by Zach Freemantle who posted a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Colby Jones added a career-high 20 points Nate Johnson and Paul Scruggs added 14 apiece. With the loss, the Musketeers fall to .500 in the BIG EAST (4-4) and 11-4 overall. Meanwhile, streaking St. John's (14-8, 8-7 BE) jumps ahead of the Musketeers into fifth place in the conference. St. John's win over Xavier breaks a 12 game winning streak by the Muskies in the series with the Red Storm dating back to 2015.

XU will play host to Butler in its next game on Sunday at Cintas Center. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
