X Outlasted by Georgetown on the Road

The Xavier Musketeers fought back on the road on Tuesday evening, but it was not enough as Georgetown knocked off X, 72-66. Xavier was down by as many as 19 points halfway into the second half and closed the margin to within three points. But in the end, the Musketeers ran out of time.

Sophomore KyKy Tandy came off the bench to score 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting to lead the Musketeers which fell to 13-6 overall and 6-6 in the BIG EAST. Zach Freemantle added 12 points while pulling down 10 bounds. Colby Jones chipped 11, and Adam Kunkel finished with 10 points to round out the other leading scorers for Xavier. Georgetown (9-11, 7-8 BE) was led by Jamorko Pickett who finished with 18 points.

Next up for Xavier is its regular season finale on Saturday as it travels to Milwaukee to take on Marquette. Game time is set for 9:00 p.m.
