X Downs Fairfield Behind Freemantle Triple-Double

The Xavier Musketeers knocked off visiting Fairfield, 78-65, on Tuesday night at Cintas Center behind a triple-double performance by Zach Freemantle. Freemantle finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in the winning effort. Adam Kunkel provided offensive firepower with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range.
With the win, Xavier advances to 3-0 on the season while the Stags drop to 0-3. Next up, Xavier plays host to the Indiana Hoosiers in the Gavitt Games. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. at Cintas Center.
