The Musketeer Club is pleased to host its annual Summer Event with this year’s two special guests: Xavier Athletics Associate AD for Development (NIL Guru), Seth Breitenstein, who will discuss Xavier’s NIL status vis-à-vis the rest of the BIG EAST/Power 5. Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) has dramatically changed college basketball recruiting, as top programs now compete not only with facilities, coaching, and tradition but also with the potential NIL opportunities they can offer athletes. As a result, NIL has introduced a new layer of competition, strategy and support.
Joining Seth will be loyal Xavier Assistant Coach, former player, and fan favorite, Dante Jackson, who will discuss new Head Coach Richard Pitino’s vision for Xavier Basketball. Dante was a four-year contributor to the Musketeers, tying the school record with 137 games played and helping the team reach four consecutive NCAA Tournaments, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2008. After beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ohio University, Jackson returned to Xavier in 2018 as an assistant coach under former Xavier head coaches Travis Steele and Sean Miller, and now current head coach, Richard Pitino. Dante will continue to play a key role in player development and recruiting under Pitino as the coaches begin to assimilate a new roster.
Come out to the season preview event at Hofbrauhaus in Newport, Kentucky on Thursday, June 19 where Seth and Dante will dive into these topics, answer questions, and have fun with fellow Musketeer fans as we look forward to the upcoming college basketball season.

Cost: $12.00 for Musketeer Club members and $15.00 for non-members.
