I'm starting to hate Gene Wojciechowski

Please, please, please! Hate is such a wasted emotion.
Again, Wojciechowski is writing a COLUMN, not an article, not a feature story, not a news story. He is a columnist whose sole purpose in writing what he does is to tweak emotions, get under skins, amuse, entertain and sometimes inform, but ALWAYS Express His Opinion. Period. From the reactions here, looks like he did his job.
The day he starts to care about upsetting fans of one team or another, the day he fears the scorn of a coach he satires or rips, the day he puts a choke collar around his neck and reins in his writing is the day he might as well resign and never write again.
Did Dave Nightengale stop writing about Bob Knight because Knight singled him out in a press conference and spent the entire time lambasting him at the expense of other newspapermen and radio folk on deadline? Hell no. Did Bill Jauss back off Knight because the same thing happened? Nooooo. Did Robin Miller back off A.J. Foyt after Foyt slugged him? Doubtful. Did Paul Daugherty step back from his observations about Bob Huggins, did other columnists over the years step back and soften their approach or bend over backwards to please the coiffed one who deserved lampooning or having his faults pointed out? Unnnhhuh. No way.
The damn column was just Gene's opinion. Could he have done a better job? Oh hell yes. Do I hate him for what he said about my Alma Mater? Naw, he's not worth the energy. Just another hack trying to stir sh!t.
