Re: Happy Thanksgiving to All!
And to you as well, MOR.
I'm out in LA right now, visiting family, and have gotten in two of my better rounds at those particular courses. Hitting the ball so-so, but chipping and putting unusually well, which can make up for a lot of mistakes. (I'd still like to cut down on the mistakes and NOT have to get up and down for par, or bogey, though.)

No golf here, Moose, although it's sunny, only about a high of 38 though. No snow on the ground and could probably play tomorrow if A) I wasn't coaching scrimmages, B) My daughter and son-in-law weren't coming to town, C) I wasn't a lazy bum!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving to All!
I will echo the sentiments of MOR and Gary and wish everybody who visits this board a Happy Thanksgiving!
I can guarantee one thing: golf courses throughout the world are counting their blessings that I will not be visiting them today (or anytime in the near future --- since I usually play only once every four or five years in a family scramble). Patrons and turf alike are always at risk with me swinging away!

Fathers James Hoff and Michael Graham, AD Mike Bobinski, and Head Coaches Staak, Gillen, Prosser, Matta, Miller, & Mack represent a Golden Era of Xavier Men's Basketball. AD Christopher and Head Coach Steele will bring us to an even higher level!

I'll be back in Chicago late Fri. night, and hope to play Sat. morning, when temp at tee time should be in the low 30's. This is when the REAL golfers come out!

Remember a ten foot putt, a 25 year chip and a 300 yard drive are all one stroke each and while that 300 yard drive is nice finding it in the rough is a downer.Mr. Neutral wrote:And to you as well, MOR.

Thanks to all my friends here and on other venues, your friendship and prayers have sustained me over the past two years. Gary, and MOR as classmates of 72 I am glad we are still around as many have gone on to their final reward.
I thank GOD that I have a roof over my head today while many are without. I pray that GOD may protect them and give them comfort.
I thank GOD I have clothes on my back while many only have rags for clothes. I pray that GOD will dress them like HE cares for the flowers an birds.
I thank GOD for the food I eat today while 90% of the world will not be as fortunate. I pray that GOD may feed HIS sheep with HIS love.
I thank GOD for my health and that my my illness has taught me to be more patient and understanding of others. I thank you GOD for the health of all the Xavier Nation that have suffered this year with their health, including our dear friend "WKRQ" that YOU LORD have given back their health and given back their insight and humor to a grateful Xavier Nation. Many in this country and world do not have the same care and I ask GOD to bless them and give them strength.
I thank GOD for my wife, my family, my friends. HE has blessed me with many. I pray that all men and women can find that we have more in common than we have differences and that we can learn to grow in peace and that we can understand that war diminishes all.
I thank God that was able to go to the fine schools I have attended while other are not so fortunate. I pray that in the coming years we find a way to give our most prized gifts, our children, the gift of education, that they may learn to fish.
I thank GOD I am in a country that does not have violence when there is a change of power. I pray that someday this world will know true peace.
I thank GOD for all those that serve to protect us as we celebrate this day. May GOD bless the soldiers in the far reaches of this world that risk their lives so we may live safe and secure, to the policeman that risks his life to protect our home and loved ones, to the fireman (PMThor and others) that risk their lives to go into that burning building to rescue our loved ones, our pets and ourselves. I pray to GOD that they all received HIS reward in heaven.
I thank GOD for all the little gifts HE gives each and everyone of us each day, things we take for granted but without would make life less livable and I pray that GOD will share my bounty with others.
I pray for the members of the Xavier nation that we have lost this past year or so, Brian, Erick, Big Jim, XU50 and others....your lives with us enriched us and I thank GOD HE gave you as gift to us for those years you were with us.
Finally, Thank you and praise you GOD for you are our light that will guide us until you call us home.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE and GOD BLESS YOU!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
