X hall of Fame this year inducte 5
Justin Cage ('07) and Gary Lumpkin ('99) will be the basketball players involved. Does anyone want to contribute a memory of Lump or Justin? We all remember one!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I was his summer bridge counselor when he arrived with one of the most heralded classes in XU history (Skip's first class) in Posey, Darnell, LB, Leo Murray, and Sutherland. Murray and Sutherland didn't last but the other 4 were unreal in their years and really, if Darnell doesn't blow out a knee, i believe that team would have gone down in history.
Lumpkin is one of the most genuine dudes out there. have known and kept in touch since our days at Xavier. an excellent representation of Xavier and deserving of the HOF.
not to change subject but i haven't seen it on here - would still love to know why Waugh declined her induction or at least her attendance? bad blood from being fired? just wondering.

Cage had the best performance ever of any Xavier player in the NCAA tourney, and possibly the best individual performance in the tourney that year, especially considering the circumstances. He matched up against Oden, the number one pick in the NBA that year, and believe he was 8-8 from the field, 3-3 (or 4-4) from three point land, and ended up with 27 points. Most underrated player in Xavier history.
