AP Poll
X drops 1 after that sky is falling game against Marquette Now #21 other in Marquette, UConn, Nova, and Providence
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: AP Poll
More importantly the NET is 20. Congrats (so far) to Coach and the players on a very solid year. Hopefully, the February March swoons in recent years doesn't repeat itself again this year. I believe.

Re: AP Poll
X has melted down in league play the last 10 games or so and the tourney in three consecutive years no? Two losses in the tourney came against bottom feeders DePaul and Butler to boot.muskieman wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 9:11 pmmight want to look at the Feb numbers before you call it a swoon.Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 8:56 pmMore importantly the NET is 20. Re: AP Poll
you mention Feb but X has played pretty well in Feb discounting last year. In Travis first two years X went 5-2 in BEAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 9:43 pmX has melted down in league play the last 10 games or so and the tourney in three consecutive years no? UM,
I think they played more than 7 games in Feb in their first two years in the BE. And I said the last 10 games or so, but I'll widen the scope to do Feb until the end of the year.
In Feb & Mar.
2018-19: -Mar: You're right here. Ended up 7-4. I forgot the six game losing streak in conference play started in mid-Jan. That's what cost them the tourney. I picked the wrong month.
2019-20: Feb-March 6-5: Again respectable. However, they blew a tourney run by losing the last three including bottom feeder DePaul (4-15 in the BE)
2020-21: Feb-March: 2-6 including blowing a 15 pt 2nd half league to the 9th best team in the BE.
I think Steele's resume is underwhelming and he has done a subpar job of coaching in hid first three years. Mman, what's your assessment of Steele in his first three years?

Re: AP Poll
Three straight non NCAA tourney tournament appearances is all I need to know. MM will always have excuses.

I would say I remain in awe, but not it's ascended to whatever word means super-awed.
