UConn tonight against Zags

Postby muskieman » Sat Mar 25, 2023 11:10 pm

First half Uconn won by 7 Second half, with three minutes to go, UConn has scored 41 and Zags 14... a total blowout with UConn emptying the bench. Complete destruction of Timme and company.

X beat them twice this year and basically derailed their train with the first win. Just think how Freemantle would have helped X if he had been healthy for the BE Tourney and the NCAA

Final 82-54
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Yes he would have. Trivia question: which team had four wins against the remaining teams in the E8? As Hurley said, the BE was the best conference by far. Conn beats Bama by 15, and Marys, Razorbacks, and Bulldogs in the Tourney by an average of about 22 points. They were the fifth-best team in the BE conference. Marquette also beat Baylor by 27. Now with Pitino coming, they will have three of the top 20 HCs in cbb, and other very good coaches lwith McDermott, Cooley, and Matta. The others are too new to assess, but they have to be an upgrade to Ewing and Anderson.

I don't really like UConn, and never have, but I will root for them for two reasons FIRST, winning helps the BE in prestige and more money for schools, and SECOND, the BE is in negotiation for a new media contract and an NC title is a big draw. With the new coaches and Pitino, the TV contract might have gotten better. I would have liked Creighton to win, which is another team I don't like, but if they had gotten to the final four, the BE would have 2 schools in the final four that I would like. If I got my dreams, it would have been X
