Richard's take on Freshmen House, Elson, and a number of others.
Really thinks Ruben could be the best three-point shooter in college. Likes Poz but is cautious because he missed part of summer practice and the rust shows.
Tru Washington: Richard's comment is "elite defender' and "prototypical Big East guard"
Chance is an "elite passer."
Mentioned is passing, as Kasson Westphal, our seven-footer, has been injured.

Fanta and Richard talk X basketball
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

RP also had high praise for Asher Elson, saying he oozes potential and has the highest upside on the team. Apparently, he's tracking at nearly 7 feet tall now, is athletic, can shoot, and block shots. We absolutely have to lock this kid down on at least a two-year deal before other teams start circling.

Re: Fanta and Richard talk X basketball
I am very interested in Asher Elson, and to hear he is almost 7 feet tall just heightens the possibility of this team competing height-wise with other BE teams. Granted, a 7-foot stiff doesn't do much team-wise, but I hear Elson is no stiff.
I find the competition between Pozzaro and Dominquese only a positive for this team because one will be off the bench scoring when X needs it.
Chance Westry, as a pass-first guard who is a good-to-very-good passer, is so nice to hear and will make this team that much more potent with our shooters.
Now what about our 7-footer Westphal? Injured? How bad, and where does that leave the team? I was hopeful that he might have some impact this year, being his 3rd year playing, even if it was just practice time the first couple years.
The other guy I have high hopes for is Tru Washington... I like the terms elite defender' and "prototypical Big East guard" being ascribed to him by Coach Pitino
