I say leave Drew home with the trainers and doctors this week to continue to recover from his respiratory and ankle issues, and declare to the world (i.e. the selection committee) that he will not be making the trip to St. Joes. If we lose to the Hawks, the committee will look more favorably upon the loss when seeding us because it was 1) on the road and 2) one of our key players was unable to play. If we win, it's doubly sweet for us.
Then, on senior night, play him and get ready for both tourneys.

Re: Leave Him Home
I could agree with not playing him but ... leave him home? I think that would be hard on him as well as the team. The name of the game this year is TEAM and to leave Drew home I think would be cruel. If he can't or shouldn't play dress him in street clothes but he needs to be with the team on Hawk Hill. Anyway that's what I think. He can get treatment on the road I am sure as well as at home. And it could still be made clear to the selection committee that he did not play.
It's just what somebody thinks ...

Re: Leave Him Home
The only reason he would be left in Cincinnati would be if his injury is one that you could not do the proper treatment on the road. Be it his ankle or the flu, get can get the proper treatment in Philly. The thing I would be concerned about is if he has a bad case of the flu, can this be passed along to his teammates on the plane or bus? That would be the only reason I would keep him at home. However, expect to see Drew in uniform on Thursday night.

Re: Leave Him Home
Thank the LORD that coaches don't get so "Chicken Little" about the flu and a sprain.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
