there obviously isn't a lot of available playing time this year due to the experienced guards, but i would like to see graves play a little more. he looked good in there tonight and seems to be gaining more confidence and feeling more comfortable on the floor. this kid can shoot and could/should be used more off the bench.

Re: graves
You can see where Graves is coming on, but is still a little behind Jackson due to DJ's having more PT overall. If both can give us as much or more than Jaison Williams and Anthony Coleman did a few years back, I'd be happy.

It's funny you say that. I was thinking the exact opposite. Other than the two shots in mopup time, Graves' play was about the only thing I could think to criticize.X-Men wrote:there obviously isn't a lot of available playing time this year due to the experienced guards, but i would like to see graves play a little more. he looked good in there tonight and seems to be gaining more confidence and feeling more comfortable on the floor. this kid can shoot and could/should be used more off the bench.
On the other hand, tonight seemed like Dante's coming out party. Great hands on defense, hustle plays on both ends of the court, looked comfortable with the ball in his hands, and he knocked down his open shots. Great game, Dante.
A few weeks ago, I thought we were going to see Adrion get what time is left for the 8th guy in the rotation. I think Dante's now solidified that spot.

Re: graves
Graves' performance tonight wasn't overly satisfactory, but Miller needs to give this kid PT. He is a rough position to get PT, but he has showed flashes of being able to turn into a great scorer, but he is lacking right now mainly in the confidence department. It's my belief he will turn into a great player, just needs time!

I couldn't agree more. I thought Dante played his best game tonight, espeically on defense, and his energy was tremendous. I expect him to contribute more and more each game.LA Muskie wrote:It's funny you say that. I was thinking the exact opposite. Re: graves
Dante was right with his reason for coming to X.
Graves played some good D tonight but then everybody played pretty good D tonight. The dayton players were so frustrated and bewildered now that they were playing a real team.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
