Ultimately if this does come down to money I believe that IU would be able offer substantially more than Xavier ever could. IU could, if they wanted to, easily buy out Miller, they could also, if they wanted to, offer way more than $1.4 million.
As far as rebuilding a program after it falls, just look at Baylor 5 years after a player murders a teammate and the coach tries to cover it up they are back in the tournament. And that program had no history before that all happened. And they did it in a power conference.

However my thoughts on the IU job are that it will turn out on like the Michigan football job or the UK job last season, everyone will be turning it down and then some name that no one ever associated with it will randomly and suddenly be announced as head coach.

Biff, you forgot the AD is a nut. No one respects him and he has not done his job. They need to fire him first before they find a good coach because if they don't something else will go wrong.

As Jay Mariotti says the IU job is a mess. "What motive would be for anybody to take this job, losing Eric Gordon, White now you don't have two other talented players and you might be on probabtion"
