Abou head butts player gets Techincal, refs must be winded because it is taking forever to decide how they are going to call this one. Finally Abou is thrown out of the game and there is a double T
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Good way to start the day. Olivari and Nemeiska had much better games .Green still can't defend or shoot but had several good passes. Not sure what Ousmane was thinking about when he head butted the guy. Heck he just slapped him in the face too .I thought Nzeh played well when he got in .The defense took the second half off and gave up 50 points but a good solid win . I almost forgot but McKnight had his best game. He had 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Go X

Much better it looks like they are beginning to come together. Olivari must have the green light from Sean but boy he takes a lot of shots. Thankfully he was hot today. Is it my Euro bias about big guys or are our guys soft? Skilled but soft? The Big East is loaded with a ton of tough dudes. Villanova just bullied North Carolina off the court. I guess we will see if we can handle that kind of physicality soon enough. GO X!

KR,

Agree with your comments on Olivari and Nemeiska (this year's MVP so far). I would also add McKnight, who has quietly become a very, efficient PG: 20 assists and 2 T.O.s in the last four games, and 8 A/1 T.O. yesterday. He also has a very good midrange and played really, good D.

2nd tier honorable mentions go to Swain and Djokovic. I agree with your comments about Green's D, and though he is struggling offensively, he has the greatest repertoire and upside. However, he needs to curb his shots more until they start to fall.

Sick of Ousame already. He played well, more the exception than the norm this year, then did an un 'X" like thing: was "thuggalishish." He doesn't play in Clifton, so I was perplexed. I guess my chest would be pumping though if I had 6 T.O.s in 13 minutes. Thats a stunning level on ineptness. Why SM put up for it for so long yest. was baffling.

I said at the beginning, this team can shoot a decent % percentage if you have the right guys shooting them, in rhythm, as most were. Also, they should not be high volume shooters, unless you are hot, as Olivari was yest. O is a telented guy, but needs to reduce his number of forced shots to 2 or less a game.

Oakland is a very solid team, and another undersized one. I hope to see a lot of Djokovic. He still is unsure in the post, but gives them a versatile scorer at the post position, something this team lacks, while playing decent D. He runs the floor as well.

fun game. Ousmane put up some horrific TO numbers and his headbutt was just dumb. He may need to spend some time on the bench.

Green shows a lot of ability but his shooting continues to be a struggle.

McKnight is playing great and consistent. Takes care of the ball and finds open teammates. Scores efficiently and rebounds well. Great veteran presence.

Good to see Olivari hitting shots. X will need him to shoot efficiently.

Claude with another solid game and the bigs other than Ousmane played well once again. X has a lot of depth in the post. Not a huge drop off between most of them. To be determined how well they will do against Big East competition but the depth is comforting. Nemeiksa and Djokovic will be huge for creating spacing on the floor. Their ability to hit the deep shot makes defending X significantly more difficult.
