I guess you didn't watch any other game in the tourney, because every team with seniors had one or two crying at the end. Thats what we love about college basketball, the emotion that the players have.

Stan will go down as one of the greatest and hardest working players to ever play here and there isn't one bad thing to be said about him.

Stew you are an idiot. Please leave this site and never come back for making such a pathetic attack on Stan. You are no fan of this program.Stan is an emotional person.THere is nothing embarrassing or pathetic about that.

tears/emotion.....passion for the game, for the team, for the program and a great Xavier University...emotion for acheiving or over acheiving as a result of working your ass off for four years....disappointment that a career is over when you're not ready for it to be over...wanting to be one of the guys who takes the program one step further, but....didn't play well enough to accomplish that dream...showing your heart...some athletes give blood, sweat, and tears.....to some, basketball is life, to others it's another video game

I'm flattered that I'm being researched but I fail to see how that makes me a troll. I just stated that Stan's actions were embarassing, I don't care what excuses you give. How many of you blasted Morrison for crying? I know I did so I'm not about to let one of our players slide for acting even worse! Suck it up and save it for the locker room.

Look who showed back up. The same idiot who called Stan a clown a few weeks ago.

Did you find another UD fan to pose as a Xavier fan with you? Oh that's right, I forgot, you've been to every single Xavier game at the Cintas. Went to every single home and away game this year, and every tournament game for the past 12 years. Yeah freakin' right. You're a douche and probably a Dayton fan.

And anyway, Morrison completely lost it after Gonzaga blew a huge lead and once UCLA(?) took the lead he started crying, even though there was still time on the clock and GU still had a chance to win.

michiganXman never misses a chance to get a shot in on Stan. Not surprising though, seeing as how he has taken shots at Xavier more than a few times in the past few months since he signed up.

Mr. Neutral wrote:Xeus, is ANY criticism of one of our guys' performance ever justified? Under what circumstances? Exactly what language can be used? Ever consider that not everyone thinks exactly like you?

I may be an insufferable critic, but you're just an insufferable homer, which is no better.
You actually think what stewie and michiganXman are doing is just "criticizing Stan's performance?" They are ripping him for showing emotion at the end of the last game of his college career! Making fun of a Xavier player who has busted his butt for 4 years because he shed a few tears is disgusting.

I'm surprised even you would stick up for these two trolls.

Researched? You posted your crap about Stan on this very thread. The sad thing is not so much that people like you exist (because there's nothing that can be done about that - the world is full of sad little people like you) but that this board tolerates your BS.

Stan is the man. He's one of the most passionate players to ever wear the blue and white and I could not be more proud of the effort he put forth this season. And for the record, my eyes were welled up with tears too as I stood in US Airways Arena and watched the amazing careers of Stan, Josh, and Drew come to an end.
Welcome fellow scholars.

I'll take as genuine, the sincere, spontaneous expression of disappointment and the reality that this was indeed his last game as a collegian and yes, that his dream was unfulfilled. I doubt he would even consider worrying about being a punch line for future Dayton fans.
Read his quotes after the game. You can find them in Dow's blog. Rather than sling insults, crude and unskilled ones at that, I'll follow Stan's course.
You realize of course a person who truly loves something or somebody often reacts too emotionally--in some folks eyes--when that love is unfulfilled. There comes a moment in everyone's life, who cares deeply and shares himself wholeheartedly and without reservation, when all that he or she has expended in effort and love and devotion ends, not in the way that person had hoped or when the last mountain has been climbed.
It is said that Alexander the Great wept after his last victory because there were no more worlds to conquer.
Tiger Woods stood and wept unashamedly after he won the British Open because his dad was not there to share it with him.
Some of the toughest, most masculine football players have wept and left the field shaking after their final game, or when they announced their retirement from the game. So Reggie White wasn't a man's man? Or Mike Ditka, or Walter Peyton, or..Oh, hell there are thousands of examples.
Perhaps the reason I and many like me didn't choose to express our hatred or disgust over Adam Morrison when he sat on the court and wept is that maybe we understood.
Perhaps you who worry about providing the UD fans a punch line is because you might have to eat the barbs you've hurled at them and their players over the years.
Believe me, sir, chickens do come home to roost, or homing pigeons or whatever fowl you choose. Exception being the birds launched by Arthur Carlson (The late Gordon Jump) who remarked "As God is my judge, I thought turkeys could fly."
