Shocking. I worked late and only saw the last 8 minutes. From what I saw the team looked flat. Even Miller didn't look into it. I know we have 9 new guys and they need to play together for awhile but the team doesn't look close. I saw little passion or energy. We are down 9-10 with 4 minutes to go and the Delaware guy is dribbling the shot clock down with zero ball pressure. If your going to play Swain and Ousmane as your bigs good luck. I'm surprised when Ousmane doesn't turn the ball over. We had 17 turnovers tonight. Heck losing to Delaware and Oakland at home is scary. I was disappointed in the effort that I saw. Not sure we have the talent to turn this around. Wish Nzeh got a chance. Miller is going to have to pull a magic act to get this turned around. Maybe we we are saving our energy for Cincinnati.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

The lack of a leader is pretty obvious as is the lack of any inside play. I think Sean is running guys in and out trying to find the right combination. Good luck with that! What was up with Green last night? He was in and out but never for more than a few minutes.I think he took one shot. Also is Reid Ducharme on the team?I haven't seen him in a game yet this year.Sean was in a tough situation having to replace the whole team from last year.Losing Freemantle and Hunter in the summer forced him to bring in guys who are obviously not up to the level we need to compete. It's going to be a long winter.I think we'll have our first losing record in a long long time

didn't watch the game but watched Sean's presser. you could tell he was really disappointed. considering how well we defended Houston on Friday, I'm not sure what happened to our defense in the next 3 days, but wow.

if you shoot over 50% from the field, over 50% from 3, over 70% from the line while making more than your opponents attempted, outrebounding your opponent by 5 - you probably win 99.6% of those games. we didn't. why not? turnovers and lack of defensive energy. that's it. don't need to point it at anything else.

burn the video and let's move on to UC.

I also listened to Seanś presser and for the first time he really sounded confused and depressed just like the rest of us. It is obvious to me he is searching for answers and is not sure what to expect from the team night to night or even quarter to quarter. We need help upfront. Lazar is a big disappointment thus far and seems to lack confidence. Losing at home to these teams never happens to X. Go X beat UC that win would cover a lot of faults at least until the BIg East starts and then saddie bar the door. The physicality in that league this year is off the charts and it will kill us unless we really toughen up.

Miller is living in a dream world currently. He thought Des would turn into Colby even though he can’t shoot and has a low basketball IQ. He thinks McKnight is way better than the mid major guard he is and he thinks these Euro’s are going to turn into the Euro’s he had in Arizona. Not making defensive changes last night was a killer. These team has choked down the stretch at home three games in a row two vs bad teams. If Olivari says this team lacks a leader we are are trouble. I personally think they lack talent. I’m certain Free and Hunter probably don’t want to come back to this. I remember the days we were anxiously waiting for Lazar to come back.

Rated 19th nationally defensively, Xavier couldn’t stop the Blue Hens when they needed to the most, down the end of the game.

Colby was not Colby as a Soph. Des will be fine. They are asking a lot of him right now and he is just not ready for that kind of load. He needs help. I am convinced he will get better and better every year and will graduate as a great X player.

Easily the worst home loss since Southern Utah on opening night eons ago. No sugarcoating it. None. As bad as any of us could try and point out, it was likely worse. That said, let’s see where we are come Mid Jan. No where to go but up.
We all knew, or should have known, this was going to be a struggle. The only aspect I am a bit surprised with is the regression by Des from the pre-season
