You guys never cease to amaze me.

Assuming Mack even sees my post (and I'd be willing to bet fairly substantial money he won't), none of my questions are unlike the type of question he routinely fields on his radio show.

And my last question should pretty much confirm how seriously I'm taking the whole thing.

Last but certainly not least, if my post drives some of our more-easily-outraged posters up the wall (and, boy, is it easy to do that!), then, by all means, I have to leave it up there.

You may now resume your weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Your last question is "tongue in cheek". Your questions about Redford and inbounds plays are not.

But I guess you're right and everyone else is wrong.

Apparently, you're the only person who "gets it". I have a suggestion- man up, admit you were wrong, and delete your idiotic post complaining about inbounds plays and Mack not drawing up good plays for Redford.
Gary is just not funny but he is stubborn.

It may be to you but you can keep your tongue out of my cheeks, both pair.

admin, there's a time and a place. I realize you think you're being cheeky but this really wasn't the proper venue. I know this will probably make you dig in your heels even deeper but so be it.

I'm usually one to defend you when there's criticism (at least on XH in the past - don't come around here that much to post but still read pretty often) but I think this attempt at "humor" was ill-timed. Especially since most of your questions are not tongue-in-cheek but serious, and even if Mack never comes back, I'm sure you're aware players and assistants read these boards.

I got it! Ha ha. Mr. N asks good questions, and I for one would like to know the answers (except for the last one, I don't have HBO). There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid answers. Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture. Are those diehard Musketeer fans going to rock the house Sunday--- or what! Everyone should bring nosiemakers like on News Years Eve. They would not be objectionable like bells, whistles and canned airhorns. Raise the roof you guys!

Finally, you're catching on!

I just got a "message from Coach Mack" in my personal email; do I have to refrain from putting any questions to Mack in my personal email as well, or is that equally off-limits??

I'm sure Coach Mack is sitting in a darkened room right now, saying "why, oh why, did Gary pose those difficult and hard-to-answer questions on the MM board that I was never going to visit again?? Why, oh, why?".

I'm not sure if we have the most overly-defensive fan base in the country or not, but it has to rank right up there.

Mr. Neutral:

I do not always argee with you but,,,

Those who read this board, should know that those questions you listed are the questions that come up again and again and are the questions that you have no interest in.

Relax folks , it was from the coach not the Pope.

Everone knows Mr N is a huge supporter of the coach.

Thanks for the chuckle Gary.

I can understand some of the complaints with Mr. Neutral at times. He does not admit it when he is wrong, and can triangulate and bait and switch like the experienced attorney that he is. He should ask his sister for lessons in humor, too. But, what is wrong with asking Mack questions on a message board? He did not call him out or say any of the outright vicious things that some folks with a chip on their shoulder say about Mack. He asked some questions that have been raised recently on this board. So Mack comes on to get the home crowd aroused. Fine. Message boards and chat rooms are two way streets. He came on with his plea (a eminently reasonable request given spring break), and Neutral asks some questions that have been more than battered about on this board this year. Some of you act like he verbally flipped Mack the bird. Heck, he didn't make one critical comment, which had to be difficult for Neutral as nothing ever appears to be untainted by his professional proclivity to always see at least two sides (and at least one is usually negative).

This is a college basketball message board, not an audience with the pope (although I would hope that some of you would have the intestinal fortitude to ask him a question if you got the chance), and a basketball coach was asked some basketball related questions when he visited the board. How impertinent! And to attempt some humorous touch with a little levity about which Larry David show he prefers? How utterly gauche! Next time Neutral, only speak when you are spoken to, know your place, it's not the right time, be polite and just fawn or giggle like a little girl with your heart pounding as if you are in the presence of your most awsome idol. And remember, we want him to come back, so don't say or do anything that would . . . . well, you're Mr. Neutral so just don't say or do anything.

Posting his ridiculous questions on the board is fine and I'm sure many will respond with their opinions but to post them in a thread started by the coach asking for a noisy crowd is 1.) off topic, 2.) in poor taste and 3.) poorly timed.

Gary knows this but will never admit it.
