atmosphere is good, loud, and electric? some of your fellow muskie posters on here seem to disagree with that. i've read many posts complaining about the lack of excitement displayed by the crowds at cintas. i've been to a handful of games there, and while i am not saying the x crowd is subdued, it is closer to that than electric.

i'll take the atmosphere at ud arena over cintas any day of the week. so will the ncaa, there must be some reason ud arena gets to host first round games every five or so years.

no disrespect to cintas, but why hasn't it ever hosted? no "dissing" meant here, just curious. maybe the capacity is below what the ncaa requires?
XAVIER teams love to win @ UD. but the atmoscare dosen't have much to do with 2 play in teams with 3000 people from ? or the NCAA's reason. red scare  is only scary when UD plays

It's dayton Joe, where the only draw in town is dayton basketball. The dump gets the play-in game because the NCAA knows people have nothing better to do than watch a meaningless basketball game. It has NOTHING to do with the arena and everything to do with attendance and location.

i wasn't even talking about the play-in game, which is every year. ud arena typically hosts first round games about every five years or so; the last time was 3 years ago when george mason made their run to the final four.

whatever the reason that ud arena is a better atmosphere than cintas is irrelevant. i was just pointing out that ud arena is a better atmosphere to watch a college game

insert "we have dominated ud for the last 10 years, you guys suck, you collapsed this season" comments here :

has nothing to do with the fact ud arena has a better atmosphere than cintas.

But again you are wrong. Its your opinion to think the dump has a better atmosphere than the Cintas but you have no facts to support this.

How many sell-outs has the dump seen this year?

Ok, NCAA regional tournament games. So the dump has hosted, its for the same reason as the play-in game Joe. Only draw in town, location and the ud faithful have no post-season so they are around to help fill the stadium.

Please just stop.

Whoa! Back off people! Do we have to play Dayton? Can we change conferences? Maybe he'll go NBA so he doesn't get his game messed up!

I personally saw this kid play 3 times and he is a good player. However, his shot is extremely flawed and it will take a complete re-vamping for him to play consistently at the college level.

Given he committed this early [sophmore] it allows us to move ahead and find another point guard.
