Re: Villanova Game Thread
Muskieman... Hugley has s had a short leash all season. Maddox had a a short leash the first half of the season. Both Freemantle and McKnight are worn out at the end of games. Not sure why Anderson wasn't playing this year. Miller likes to play only 8 guys the second half of the season. It seems if you are going to play tough man to man defense all game you need to play more than 8 guys. We were tired at the end of games all season. You can see Freemantle walking up the court in the second half of games. You can see McKnight not wanting to get the ball at the end of games when the other team is pressing

Re: Villanova Game Thread
my biggest takeaway/concern from this game was why we didn't run at/double Dixon like we did in the first game? I get he simply wasn't hitting/getting going in the first half but once he got a shot or two I would have gone right back to that game plan and just doubled/run at him and make him give it up and force someone else to beat you.
that coupled with our absolute horrendous turnovers were the reason we lost that game.
pretty awful final 10-12 minutes of that game.
post-season hopes are very minimal.

I agree with the lack of production especially on the defensive end in the post this year. I've said many times it was a huge mistake to rely on this seasons success with three bigs that have been hurt in the past. Besides some stretches a few years ago, Hunter has been awful and he doesn't even get rebounds or score anymore. We really missed out on shipping out players and telling Powell he wouldn't get playing time this year. We won't ever sniff the tourney buy tourney over the roster year by year. I've heard stories on why Clause left, but if he wanted to play PG I would have given him the keys. Not having a quality PG makes is ridiculous especially when we have the most streaky SG in college basketball. Listening to a bunch of jck sniffers tell us that Xavier is going to be third in BE was also a mistake.
