Mo money. Losing Lazar is gonna be a big hit. You won't find a player with his potential in portal.

Re: Portal time and names
Skyhops. Are we talking about Djokovic. The 2.9 points a game with 2.9 rebounds a game player? This is on a team that was desperate for front court players. To just name a few in the portal there is Omoruyi ( 6-11 center ) from Rutgers who had 29 double doubles and 93 blocked shots. Porter from Pepperdine who averaged 16.2 points and 9.6 rebounds (Brother of the NBA player). Raynaud ( 6-11 ) center from Stanford who is a true freshman and averaged 15.5 points a game and 5.9 rebounds. Cade Tyson from Belmont who averaged 16 points a game with 5.9 rebounds and shot 46 % from the three point line. He is 6-7 and a Sophomore. I could go on and on. Did you mean guys we could actually afford?

Yes same player and even Miller said he was the second best player at the beginning of the year. He played well last few games when he started. He will be a very good player.

Well people who know a lot more about basketball than me, Miller , Skyhops . Anti-Homer and Muskieman all share the same opinion so I must really be missing something. I hope Djokovic changes his mind and returns but I will be watching to see where he ends up and how he fits in with a new team. He definitely has some skills and is very coordinated for a front court guy. A lot probably depends on what system he ends up in and how they use him to get the best out of him.

and about 600 to 800 never went anywhere once they were in the portalXavier2005 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 9:56 pmI looked up 2023 stats on college men's Division 1 basketball and it said 20% or over1000 scholarship players used the portal to go to another school/team. And 2024 will probably be about the same.
Good news for Kachi as he is going to Penn State
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Portal time and names
I tend to side with you K. Reilly. Sure Lazar had potential, and I wish him well, but he was soft. You can improve that a bit, but only to a certain degree. His ceiling is a decent stretch 4 who might shoot 34% or so from deep. Yet with subpar rebounding, post offense or post D at the upper echelon of Big East ball. In other words, a loss, but nothing seismic by any means.

Why do you think he was soft? That case can made for almost all of our squad.
