Saw on rivals that we are now involved with this kid. He's a highly touted pg out of Georgia (yet another 2009 target from the peach). I thought it interesting that we are pursuing a pg in 2009 after getting 2 pgs in 2008. I wonder if they think the kid will grow into a 2 guard (he is 6'2''), or whether they are unsure whether Redford/Lyons can handle the point? Anybody know anything about him?

Don't know anything about the kid, but I'm guessing it's a big-time Scrabble score when you use all those letters!

And we thought Sato's full name was a tough one.

Not sure if they are targeting a PG, and I believe he is a combo guard, but when you have a chance at a kid ranked #36, it doesn't matter what position he is. He is also friends with Ari Stewart which may play some role. Plus, Lyons has played the entire year as the SG on his prep team and has been dynamite, Redford would obviously be very effective running off screens so, a PG would not be a stretch in that class. I don't think they are specifically targeting PG's in that class though, to answer your question.

There's also a kid named halloway, i've never heard of him, who is trying to opt out of his letter of intent to indiana. It said he was a cincy kid and if he was able to opt out teams like texas and memphis are going after him, we may not be in the talk but why not try to go after a local kid ranked number 20 at his position

Most coaches feel more comfortable with three point guards. If one gets hurt or sick you still can sub during a game with out hurting your self too bad.
