Bye Bye #3 Seed

The breeze you just felt was X's three seed flying out the door. What a disappointing performance. I hope they decide to get hungry and play hard for 40 minutes sometime in the next week. I don't know what has happened but the killer instinct seems to have gone out of them. I guess the one positive out of this is that the A-10 is no longer a 1 bid league.
Work their tails off Sean!

I hope that is the disappointment speaking tonight.

i have to agree with that. x looked like a team on a mission earlier in the season, but there is something missing from this team right now. lavender's ankle, peaked too early?

i just don't see x making much of a run this year, the way this team has looked lately

mm, I've felt for a while that we peaked in December/January, and while we've been winning, we haven't played our best ball in months.

And tonight gives no indication we're going to return to our peak performances.

Agreed, Gary. But, if you mention that while they're still winning, you'll get ripped. This team hasn't had many convincing performances for a long while. Very disppointing and, if they don't find that A game before Thursday, they won't make it beyond the first weekend.

Joe, don't you have to get in line with the rest of the dayton local trash for the play-in game at the dump? Didn't your flyers just lose the 6th straight to your idol?

It was a piss poor performance. X ruined a chance at a 2 seed and most likely a 3 seed but even with a 4 there is still plenty of room to make a run IF this team's motivation and hearts can carry them. There is plenty of talent, now its time to use it.

X has to be the greatest team then because the lost how many in Feb. playing the ball you all think they have played?

I will take undefeated in Feb any day.

Xavier I believe is locked into a #3 seed and this is a typical result between a team that is fighting for their NCAA tournament lives vs. a team that isn't. Nex weekend you won't even be thinking about this game. Were you thinking about the URI loss in last years A-10 tourney when we were leading the #1 seed Ohio St. late in the second half of last year's second round?
