What do you guys think of Bob Knight's idea to open the tourney to 128 teams (one extra game and eliminate all the crying & subjectivity over who gets in and who didn't)?

You don't think 129, 130, 131 and 132 (last four out) won't complain and when one or more of those teams are from the "power conferences" Bilas won't be wining that all of their teams should be in?

Keep it as it is or just invite everyone. If we are inviting everyone we can do away with conferences, play 20 games for seeding, and then just get on with the show.

I vote to keep it as it is.

Nah, it's just a ploy by Big Six coaches to make sure that they all make the tournament (except for Northwestern) and keep their jobs.

I'd be OK with expanding it by a few teams, or, if you're a purist, drop the conf. tournaments and go back to the regular-season winner getting the automatic bid, plus the next 34 at-large teams.

But that would likely squeeze out even more of the non-Big Six teams, and cost the conferences money, so don't count on it happening.

Bob's just trying to work out some way that his son might get a team into the dance some day.

Did you notice Bobby when Dickie V went off on how IU should hire him back and Dickie would go in as a recruiter. I also like when they came back from a break and Bobby is giving a big old yawn like he was bored as hell.

Bob has some (emphasis on "some") interesting things to say, but it's fair to say that he's not lighting up the screen just yet.

No way... most of the teams whining had some serious flaws.

I would actually cut it back to 64 (hate the play-in game).

I know it would mess up the brackets, but if they have to keep the play-in game, I think two (at-large) 12 seeds should play, not conference champions (even if they have 20 losses).
