one has to wonder if all that is happening and if the BE implodes how Temple will feel in a second rate conference. It could happen.

Even if the BE implodes, the remaining teams have to end up somewhere. Just doesn't seem likely that a post-implosion byproduct would be a weak conference, there are just too many good teams in the BE. Everybody talking about the impending doom of the BE just seems like a bunch of baloney to me.

maybe football wise but if you lose UConn and one other basketball team and if Boise backs out. The Big East isn't going to help Boise State get to the playoffs when the BCAS changes it format any more than the MWC did. That means that the biggest incentive for Boise State to move to the Big East, namely better BCS access, is now gone. Add to that the fact that Boise will not find a conference for their other sports means the might have to go back to MWC, SDSU would probably re-join the MWC as well as they will be without a travel partner how good does the over all conference look. Losing Syracuse, WVU and Pitt and then possibly UConn, Louisville and maybe even Rutgers who are looking to move leaves the BE as a shell. Could this happen yes, might they pull a rabbit out of their hat, sure, but you must admit this could be a long hot summer for the BE and some of it might be known by July 1
