As you can see from the list, 14's beating 3's is not uncommon at all, like we did in '91, along with our '87 upset of Missouri as a 13 seed.

This list only has a 14 beating a 3 twice in the same year twice ('95 & '86), but once a year is about the average.

GARY! Suggestion only, but since you are still posing as Mr. Neutral, how about limiting "sky-is-falling" threads and posts to 1 in 3?

Or, like Martin & Lewis, or Burns & Allen, where each partner has a different persona but the two make for a good whole, I'll be the nervous, pessimistic guy, and the rest of the board can assume the "we've got this in the bag" approach.

That way, both ends of the spectrum will be covered.

Nobody, and I really do mean nobody, will be happier than me if we win Thursday (or Saturday, or..), but I'm just a worrier. That's my lot in life. It's a curse.

2. Don't let somebody who averages 4 ppg score 20!!

3. Be more aggressive offensively and stop playing statue!

And I have to say that, for what it's worth, I've been eating up every prognostication on Korhneiser, Patrick, etc., and the overwhelming sentiment has X winning Thursday, most have us winning Saturday, quite a few have us winning (expected to be Duke) in the 3 round, and a lesser number have us winning (expected to be against UCLA) in the regional final.

So, if everybody else is right and my fears are misplaced, that's absolutely fine with me.

Now you have me worried!
