News on Lavender Injury

Not trying to scare anyone, and I don't even know if this is true, but I talked to my friend from college today whom I havent talked to in a month or two. His cousin is a trainer for X (possibly an assistant trainer, didn't ask because we only talked for 2 minutes or so). We briefly began talking about X game today and he told me his cousin told him that Drew's injury is not a sprained ankle, but an achilles injury (which is much more serious). Again, I can't confirm this, but that is what my friend told me and there is no reason for him to just make that up (he does not follow X or any of X's rivals). I will be talking to him later tonight so I'll try to get more of this story. Either way, Drew is noticeably playing much quicker and better than before, so I'm not worried either way.

Drew still looks tentative. He rarely made any quick, sharp cuts, and only went to the hoop when there was a wide space. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some lingering effects of his injury.

This doesnt make much sense. I trust the reporting done by Dow, et all, over some hearsay...

Go by what you saw yesterday, NoCal. Did Lavender look like the Drew we saw in December? I'd say no.

GA was definitely posting and clearing out on Drew in the first half, and successfully...he is certainly not 100% on D. After missing some floaters in the first half, he seemed to get his rhythm in the second half, so I think his offense is much better.
I have personally had achilles injuries, and seen others. If he had an ouchie achilles, I dont think Sean would have been desecribing it as an injury he couldnt hurt any more. Triple hearsay.

i have suspected the 'ankle' might require work after the season because the extensive treatment and time elapsed has not shown to be curing. drew is getting more rest during the games and miller & co. are doing a good job of rotation..
