In the post game press interview after UCONN's loss to San Diego Calhoun stated that B4 the game he stated(having written so on the locker room bulletin board) don't give SD a sniff of victory to permit any belief that they could play with the Huskies. Calhoun says that with only 10 min. left did his team play with full intensity. By then SD had confidence, a belief that they could beat UCONN. He says the injury loss of their star, Prince(?), did not cause the loss.
Xavier let Georgia get way out ahead. That'll be flirting with disaster from now on.

hasn't UConn had a BUNCH of early exits the past 10 years?

Calhoun and company had not lost in the first round in 14 years....and won a couple of titles during that time. Their record is not that bad. Great game, though.
