That right, ref John Cahill is one of the officials today. You know him. He is that guy that thinks being thrown into row 2 is a foul but not flagrant or intentional.

You would think the refs might be able to get someone to take care of the time at the end of a game. Cahill tried to freeze everyone at the end today.

Thank the LORD his calls didn't hurt the team he helped destroy last year.

maybe you shouild face the fact that most of the time refs dont decide the game and stop living in the past.

Miracle shot by OSU notwithstanding, Cahill sure decided THAT game, and that's all that the esteemed muskieman is pointing out.

tmac, don't fret him, he was a 5 post wonderless and left. Guess his mother was calling him for bedtime.

In the past bad calls came back to haunt X but this year is different. Maybe last years loss to osu has put a good lesson on these players.

How about the steal by Stan and then the shoestring tackle which again didn't get an intentional call unlike the duke-UWVa game were it was called intentional. Guess the ref must have though the guy was going for the ball!

Agree mm, fortunately, the missed intentional foul had no bearing on the outcome of this game.

Just an observation. There is more than one Xavier fan on this and other boards who will take that incompetent Cahill's call in the OSU game to his grave, or Cahill's , whichever comes first. It is very hard to forget the incompetency of an official, especially when his partners in the game on a public website admitted they had wrists crossed to call an intentional foul and he, who was the trailing official made the call from damn near half court. At least that's what both refs said.
Today he screwed around with the clock and caused the real time clock (for which the TV people pay a lot of money, to require 25 minutes to play 1:30 sec. trying to screw Xavier out of a victory again. At least that's what many Xavier fans will say. History almost repeated itself. He was the one who called the lane violation that was at best an iffy call.
And as far as ye are concerned, Xavier won ...-ppppphhhhhhgggggggaaaarrrrtttt!
And that's in the present.

mm, I hadn't seen his post toal and sign-up date when I responded. I actually wouldn't have expected any Purdue fans to show up and flame. I'm from Indy and the sentiment all year from them has been that the success of the baby-Boilers has been an unexpected, pleasant development. I think most of them realize they are stacked for the next three years so they aren't too torn up about a second round exit this year.
