Chicago sports radio was stating Tim Floyd to LSU, Pitt coach to USC and Miller to Pitt

Guy must be a genious to come up with that one. I actually heard Floyd wants the IU job. I guess the guy really wants out of Southern Cal.

I can see why Floyd wants to get back to Louisiana, but if I'm Jamie Dixon, I say skip the middle man and just go right for the LSU job.

Of course that doesn't help us any.

Why does everyone just assume Dixon wants to leave Pitt? He has been there 9 years, he wins big, coaches in a great conference and makes nice coin. Many people assume he wants to go out West because that is where he is from. Well he was born there but actually grew up in the Bronx, NY. He also is a graduate of TCU so maybe he will want to go there.

I said when John Brady was fired (rightly so) that Tim Floyd would be named the LSU coach as soon as USC lost in the tournament. That didn’t happen and according to Floyd who has said numerous times since the weekend … “USC will be my last coaching job.” I think he means it.
Seems LSU has an eye on Scott Drew of Baylor (his dad was an assistant at LSU in the early ‘70’s), and Anthony Grant of Virginia Commonwealth, and Travis Ford (Umass – SEC ties), and Terry Bennett of Washington State.
Rumors abound that the South Carolina job is going to open and that Jeff Capel at Olahoma wants that one and if that happens, one of those mentioned above. Indiana seems to be set on Bennett.
Bottom line, Sean will be at Xavier.

Seems like a lot of speculation. No one knows where someone wants to go will go but if everyone has an idea then I guess I might as well throw one in. Sean Miller to Xavier, everyone else move one spot. How about Hugs to UC???

That Chicago radio guy must have gotten an "A" in Creative Writing. Here's the rebuttal:

Seth Davis on Tim Brando's Sporting News Radio show today- "Read my lips- NO WAY does Tim Floyd go to LSU." He's got a beautiful ocean front condo in Santa Monica and he's said that this will be his last coaching job. He loves Los Angeles. No way he's going back to Louisiana."

I believe that if Tim Floyd does not leave, that certainly stops the dominoes from falling, deosn't it?

I'll believe Seth Davis way before I believe some hack in the Blow Hard City.

Besides Cronin and Huggins how many guys actually coach where they went to school? Pitts got some pretty good assistants which is the route they took to get Dixon. Can Pitt afford to pay the buyout that Sean had put in place at X unless there is some sort of clause in the contract...Lets just win this tournament and worry about this later.

Just a few days ago, the mob was up in arms over an innocuous comment in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, calling the paper a rag, and every other insult. And now it's the Chicago media who can't get it right. I guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored.

Now if the Chicago radio guy (whoever it was) had said that Miller was extremely happy at X and would be staying for the foreseeable future, I'm guessing MOR would find him a LOT more credible (because he likes that opinion).
