Next Year

It was obviously a disappointing end to a great season and all the credit in the world goes to those three seniors who gave everything they had all year. It was an absolute joy to watch them. But my mind has already started to think about next year. Surely it will be a bit of a rebuilding year after losing those three seniors but hopefully it will be more of a reloading. Can someone fill in my blanks please?

Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with their recruiting class besides Frease. What's the kid's name from Michigan? How will the depth chart shake out? Any other freshmen make an impact?

There is also Mark Lyons and Brian Walsh. There will be two newcomers besides the freshmen with transfers Andrew Taylor and Jamel Mclean becoming eligible.

I will lay odds on two things:
1. Bronson is history
2. Miller has a stud lined up to take his place (cause you can bet there are some good one's in line to join our team, my bet would be a point guard)

6-3 forward, Detroit Renaissance
College: Dayton.
Biggest area of improvement: Defense.
Best move: Catches the ball on the wing, pivots and makes a jab step for either a jump shot or a drive and a pull-up jumper.
Favorite athlete: Tracy McGrady.
Favorite class: Pre-calculus.
Favorite book: “The Friends” by Rosa Guy.
Top opponent: Sherron Collins, Chicago Crane (Kansas).
When my basketball career is finished, I will: “Be a coach or general manager of an NBA team.”
Overview: For a four-year starter, he has shown remarkable improvement in several areas this season, such as his defense. He has also become much more than just a jump shooter. He attacks the basket and is more willing to mix it up inside against bigger players. He has also become a solid rebounder.

I only see next year as a rebuilding year in that its like any other year in college basketball: you lose a few guys, and add a few guys. I expect X to be a very good team next year, win the A10 regular season, and go the NCAA with a decent seeding. Brown and Love will be great and BJ will have the chance to launch threes as a starter. Point guard is a question but I like what we've seen of Jackson. We'll have a different look than we had with Drew but Miller will make the adjustments needed. We need the guys on the team currently to be the ones to get back to the regional final now that they've had the experience. We'll have a young team but I see us as loaded with Frease, Redford, Lyons, Walsh, Graves, etc. We may not win 30 games, but this team will be in the top 25.

Im a little concerned with Dante running point. He had great experience with this tournament but his ball handling needs improvement. I dont think he will start
