The Contract Extension for Miller?

I thought this would have been taken care of already. Wasn't it supposed to happen soon after the Final Four?

To no avail, I check this site everyday to see what the new contract is like. Anybody have any news on the negotiations?

Anyone know what's going on with this? "Phase 1" talks were supposedly underway three weeks ago and you'd think a deal would have been done by now.

Relax.
Multiple people are involved, including, but not limited to, Sean, Mike, Father Mike, Sean's agent, Sean's tax people, XU's Board (not athletic), XU's Budget people etc etc etc.
It will get down ... but there is nothing to worry about.
And since XU is a private university, it ain't nobody's biz what he is paid and for how long ... unless Sean or the University makes it public.
Just the fact that when Okie State called, and the call lasted less than a minute (doesn't even take that long to say "thanks, but no thanks) should tell you to RELAX!

First Wise is right, more people are involved and Fr Mike has been busy in DC. Sean is not like other coaches and when it gets done is not his most urgent item. When it gets done, if Sean wants it done, someone will leak it but not me.

Actually Wise, since XU is a tax-exempt organization, it is everyone's "biz" what Sean is paid. The IRS requires XU to disclose the salaries of its most highly compensated employees.

That said, I agree that Sean is solid, the deal will get done, and Sean will be here for some time to come.

I know you did not make it to the NCAA tourney this year to root them on - 1st weekend a valid excuse.. maybe DC is closer than Phoenix from Chi town but going to let you slide.

By Luck we got the same ride on Delta as team back to Cincy from DC - what a great weekend and how fun to sit with the players after a couple of great come from behind wins to show their toughness.

I know Paul Daugherty gets a lot of crap on the board about writing articles as some would perceive to be against Xavier.

Considering he sat next to Chris Mack and behind Miller and by the way Duncan was promoted to 1st Class due to his performance (just kidding he say with the rest of teamate listening to his IPOD - relax people ) - I don't think his motto is how to trash XU at any point. It is style of writing to be dramatic with a twist.

Next time make the trip when ever you have the chance. We booked our tickets about the same time that Dustin said they had a 95% chance of going to DC and got a great rate on flights and hotels at Westin just 10 blocks away were only $100.

We never made it to the pregame in DC due to a late flight on Thurs and bad idea of not scalping tickets for the Saturday game. When we walked out of the Georgia game tixs went for face value lower level.

My friend had a better idea of waiting for half the state of West Virginia showing up to play Duke on Sat. Tixs were going for $350 and there about 10 available for 1,000 or better seeking them. After watching that game in a bar I made a last run to have a Dad and Kid from Cleveland in the TV business coming in last minute who sold me 2 at face value just because I had an X shirt and was from Ohio as he put it.

Great game again agaist Purdue - people rocking at the Renaissance afterwards.

Big win against WVU

Week passes and friend calls from Atlanta and says meet me in Phoenix I got 2 tixs online under face. Use miles to get there due to unfortunate cost with airlines at $1200 plus.

How can I pass this up even if it is UCLA we had shut down Beasley like he was nothing and multilple others - You only get one chance to see X possilbly upset and go on to the Final Four. I have spent a lot of money on other stupid chances with no reward.

Arrive in Phoenix at 9 am - make to Majerle's Sports Grill - and UCLA fans are selling center court 8th row for 125.

Make it to Xaviers Alumni Reception and Alice Coopertowns Sports Bar and XU is giving out X tshirts to all who come with a personal greeting, hundreds show up. X is all class - free BBQ buffet and cash bar big screens, sun and atomsphere.

Father and Sister are there - lost alumni friends living in the area we have not seen for a long time.

Top Notch all the way around!!

Sounds like a great time, Alamo, and I was seriously thinking about making a road trip, but my job had other ideas, so....
