Hamilton native Jalik Dunkley-Distant 2024 6’7
@JalikDunkley

More than blessed to receive an offer from the University of Xavier
@XavierMBB

According to Josh Millican

Source: (2024) 6’7 Jalik Dunkley-Distant is at OTE for their All-Star Takeover weekend. Hearing that he will participate in the 5 on 5 and the OTE dunk off!

Think “Xavier University” will offer him too?
Haha. I hope he doesn’t think all Xavier fans are so picky
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

He can call it whatever he wants as long as he signs to play ball here.

Xavier has offered TeamDurant 2024s Del Jones and 6'8 PF Malcolm Thomas per @Dwayne_Wise
2024 Del Jones is a 4-star PG who was recently offered by Xavier on April 24. He's originally from the DC/MD/VA area, but spent his junior season at Huntington Prep (WV). He has announced that he will play at AZ Compass Prep (AZ) for his senior year. ESPN currently has him slated as the 58th best prospect in the class of 2024. Jones plays with Team Durant (MD) on the Nike EYBL circuit during the spring/summer. On the recruiting front, he has also been offered by the likes of Providence, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon, Texas Tech, WVU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Miss St., Rutgers, and more.

Just wanted to drop this newly published player evaluation for you guys if you were interested in learning more about him. The breakdown has 80 total film clips for you to visualize his skillset.

Tx,

But I don't get excited until X is only one of 16 teams left standing. I learned this from Mman. In high school, he said he never got his hopes up about going to the prom until a girl said if 15 preferred guys said no, she would go to the prom with him. A good way to avoid heartbreak.

It would be great if these kids (or their handlers) were mature enough to say something like: I am considering a few schools, they know who they are, I’ll let them each know once I’ve made my decision.

And then leave it at that. But that isn’t how you build a brand or increase your followers or whatever. So that isn’t likely to happen in many cases.

Best to wait till a recruit actually shows up at school and basketball practice then you know you have the player....because too many verbally commit and then do not show and go elsewhere ...happens a lot to many teams. Many now sign a commitment paper and then also ask to be released.

Thats not how you get “followers.” Marketing game is important now.

Sorry, I have missed several recruit visits lately, but I wanted to mention a few official visits coming up at the end of May and June.

First off, but not the first visit, is Jackson McAndrew, Class of 2024, a 6'-8" 190 lbs. power forward. His visit will be at Xavier on June 12 for a couple of days. After X, he is scheduled to visit Notre Dame. Jackson has taken officials to Wisconsin and Creighton. Wisconsin, where a teammate will be playing this year. Other teams are Iowa, VTec, Northern Iowa, and Nebraska.
Travis Branham tweeted
@TravisBranham_5h
Jackson McAndrew is one of the biggest stock risers of the spring.

He commented on on3.com about Xavier: “I’m visiting them June 12-13. I have gotten to know the staff a lot more, and our relationship has grown. I really like the success that they have been having lately and in the past. Also, I like the way they play and how they would be able to utilize me very well.” he added “I don’t really have a time frame,” McAndrew said. “It’ll just be when I feel it’s right. Definitely before the senior season, but I still want to get out to these places that I haven’t seen yet, and also see more of the ones I have seen.

On3 is currently higher than the industry on Jackson McAndrew, the No. 140 player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He could be the Zack replacement in a few years if he comes to X. https://youtu.be/U4t2F69--ec Jackson McAndrew jr highlight

This next week on May 30-31st Jonathan Powell 6'6" Guard out of Centerville, OH, will be in for a visit. Powell has X on his list, with On3 saying he is a 48.9% chance of being a Muskie as of today.

On June 9-11, Cintas will see Bishop Boswell 6'4" combo Guard out of North Carolina, visit. Per On3.com Georgetown is about a 40.3% favorite, with X at 35.2, and Wake and Georga bringing up the rear

On a side note, Sean had a miss on Dontae Russo-Nance going pro
Per Dino Siervo
'Class 2023, 4-star Dontae Russo-Nance (@dontae_rn) has signed a 3-year contract with the NBL's Perth Wildcats. The 6'3 G from Oak Hill Academy (@oakhillhoops is running with Team Melo (@TeamMe7oEYBL) on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Dontae had offers from Maryland, Xavier, Wisconsin, and other HMs
